Do you have a green thumb? Are you looking for ways to improve your garden? If so, then you may be wondering about cutting compost. What is it? And what can you use it for?

Cutting compost is a propagation compost just like our Seed Compost.  It is a special mix designed to give seedlings and cuttings the perfect start in which they can grow strong roots. To understand more about cuttings, there is a great article on the RHS website

The ingredients of our seed compost include coir, and natural biology as well as biochar and our special fertiliser mix which is made from plant extracts which encourage healthy development like nitrates or phosphate compounds found commonly within plant roots–all this combined makes it perfect for new cuttings in your garden!

Carbon Gold’s Biochar Seed Compost is a coir based compost that is 100% peat and synthetic chemical free and is both FSC certified and Soil Association Approved for organic growing. It is a combination of natural coir, and our enriched biochar will help your seedlings get off to the best possible start

  • By using biochar you can bring a physical and permanent change to your soil, improving soil health and plant vitality and root structure.
  • Carbon Gold Biochar is enriched with mycorrhizal fungi, trace minerals and the beneficial bacteria that promotes healthy plants.
  • Biochar sequesters (locks) carbon into the ground permanently, so it is beneficial to the environment as well as your plants and edibles.
  • Carbon Gold Biochar products are 100% peat-free, FSC certified and Soil Association Approved for organic growing.

Don’t forget that both coir and seed compost have unique properties in holding onto water, which is ideal for saving the pennies
